Here we go again…

I’m back! I think the site is all together (I worked on it solidly for two days and then did nothing so…if something is broken, let me know!)

Yes. I decided to move back to Whimsical Nature. I just feel like this space fits me better than Fleeting Whimsies – I was never really comfortable with the name. I’ve also moved back to regular hosting – which really just means I can break things by accident again, and when I do, I get to fix it lol I missed all the behind the scenes stuff; as weird as that is.

I must admit, I’ve not really read much for the past few weeks. I was on fire with the Kate Daniels series and then I hit book 6 and a plot I don’t like so…meh. I’ll get back to it, I think I’m just burned out on urban fantasy for now. It happens (I was waiting for it, I read SO MUCH in such a short time).

This post is very me, me, me isn’t it? I hope you are all doing great, I’m going to visit some blogs very soon (and then hopefully get back to reviewing things…more than once a month haha)

  1. I like your new design and color scheme. I would never go with hosting where I can’t do all the behind the scenes stuff, not sure why, but I like being able to do all that. Even though as you mentioned you can accidentally break things and it’s scary sometimes.

I am sorry to hear you haven’t read as much for the past few weeks and that you’re getting burned out on urban fantasy a bit. I also have that happen sometimes. I read a lot of urban fantasy lately and I slowly feel the mood for cozy mysteries surfacing now.

    • Thanks Lola πŸ™‚ It is nice having to do all the behind the scenes stuff (even if I did login earlier and had ten updates waiting for me, oops!)

  2. I absolutely love the new look Bre! I’m a tinkerer too and love being able to play around with my blog behind the scenes too, it makes it feel like your own then. The new banner is adorable and perfect for upcoming winter too. Super cute. I’ve been the opposite these past few weeks, I’m reading loads and barely reviewing. I wish I could find a better balance between the two. So glad to see that you’ve slowed down and taking time for yourself to relax as well. Once a month is good enough for me sweetheart <3 <3

    • Thanks Kelly πŸ™‚ I had fun putting it together! Ugh I’m in such a slump with reading, but it’s just because uni is so busy (or to be more accurate, I’m so busy avoiding uni work – I can’t read, because then I’d feel like I have to read my text book!)

  3. The new design is fab, I love everything about it. And I think this name suits you better too, I don’t do well with change πŸ˜€ I hope you find a new genre to fall in love with! I’m so like that, reading everything I can in one, and then just over it.

  4. I would totally miss all the coding and breaking and fixing if I didn’t have my own hosting lol, so I don’t think it sounds weird! Sorry you got burnt out on UF, but yeah, that happens to me with genres and types of books too. Hopefully you’ll find some other good books in the meantime and then get back to enjoying the series!

    • I don’t think I’ve read anything since I’ve posted lol but exams are coming up soon, and once they’re over I won’t feel so guilty about picking up a book that isn’t a textbook πŸ™‚
